MYLAPS Timing Technology at the 2024 TCS Sydney Marathon
The Sydney Marathon is looking to become the 7th Abbott Major Marathon. On Sunday, our esteemed partner, Multisport Australia (MSA), was there to expertly time the iconic race with MYLAPS BibTag technology.
It was the biggest-ever turnout for the TCS Sydney Marathon making it the largest marathon ever in Australia. The event consisted of four distinct races; the TCS Sydney Marathon, TCS Sydney Marathon 10 km, Sydney Mini Marathon 4.2km, and the TCS Sydney Marathon Elite wheelchair race. This year there were 30,000 finishers recorded by MSA.

MYLAPS BibTag Technology
The BibTag System is the MYLAPS solution for mass running events with affordable chips and the highest read rates in the industry. It was used in October at the Chicago Marathon when Kelvin Kiptum broke the world record. The MYLAPS ThinTag is 75% thinner than regular tags, reducing waste and shipment space, which lowers carbon emissions. Through using the latest technology the decoder introduces features that add flexibility to your timing operation.
